So...with the Mustang back in Australia, I got the urge to start another project. Due to limited funds another car was not going to be a viable option. Then I started watching Cafe Racer TV on HD Theater and realised that I had found my next challenge. After scouring Craigslist and eBay for a few weeks, and having read through pages of posts on many forums like DO THE TON and caferacer.net, I decided that a Honda CX500 or a Honda CB750 would be the 'donor' bike.

I contacted a guy about a nice CX500 but that deal didn't go anywhere, but soon after I saw a 1976 Honda CB750F Supersport up for sale. A few hours and $800 later the bike was in my possession. Seized brakes, leaking master cylinders, flat battery and all! The motor did turn freely on the kickstart though...
